Revolt Systems has developed this kit to route the coolant away from the area where the factory seal is prone to failure.
Revolt originally developed this kit for its own systems and has now made it available to the public. Westside EV is very pleased to announce that the coolant bypass kit will also be included with every ready-to-run LDU we build, providing peace of mind that your large drive unit from Wetside EV will outlast even brand-new and reman units from Tesla.
Note:
Due to a change in rotor design during 2012-2013 LDU motors, a minor adjustment may be required to ensure proper clearance when installing this product. If necessary, removing 1-2mm of material from the rotor will resolve the issue and typically takes about 5 minutes to complete. This adjustment is not needed for 2014 and later models.
