1-Year Limited Warranty for Ready-to-Run Motors

All Ready-to-Run motors purchased from Westside EV are guaranteed to arrive in working condition. This warranty covers defects in the low voltage controller and logic boards and mechanical issues resulting from defective or improperly installed components for one year from the date of purchase.

What is Covered:

  • Defects or malfunctions in the low voltage controller and logic boards.

  • Mechanical issues arising from defective or improperly installed components including, but not limited to, bearings, seals, differentials, and oil pumps.

  • Low-voltage electrical failures directly related to the inverter logic board, motor assembly, and accessories supplied and installed by Westside EV.

What is Not Covered:

  • Normal wear and tear.

  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper installation/operation, or modifications made after purchase.

  • Issues arising from unauthorized repairs or alterations.

  • Issues arising from improper wiring, incompatible batteries, or inadequate cooling.

  • Any high-voltage power electronics failure, including but not limited to inverters, high-voltage components, or electrical insulation.

  • Damage caused by operating conditions outside the specified parameters, including overvoltage, undervoltage, overheating, or improper cooling.

  • Damage resulting from operating the unit in an orientation other than level and right-side up, including but not limited to operating the unit upside down or at a significant angle of rotation.

  • Consequential or incidental damages, such as labor costs, vehicle downtime, or additional expenses incurred due to motor failure.

  • Damage due to environmental factors such as exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, corrosive substances, or improper storage.

  • Damage resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

    • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, hurricanes).

    • Acts of war, terrorism, or civil unrest.

    • Power surges, lightning strikes, or other electrical anomalies.

Warranty Claims:

To make a claim, you must contact us within the warranty period and provide proof of purchase, a description of the problem, and any other requested documentation. We may require the unit to be returned for inspection before determining warranty coverage. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to returning the unit for inspection. If the claim is approved, we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired/replaced unit back to the customer.

Repair, Replacement, or Refund:

At our discretion, we will either repair or replace the defective part or, if repair or replacement is not feasible, provide a refund up to the original purchase price of the unit.

Limitations on Liability:

Under this warranty, our liability is limited to repairing, replacing, or refunding the defective component at our discretion. We are not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use or profits.

Non-Transferability:

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
